FSX Follow
Follow your X-Plane flights on your iPhone/iTouch or iPad!
System requirements: X-Plane ( Mac or PC ) and a PC ( for running fsxfollow.exe)
Steps by step instructions to follow your own flights:
1. Install X-Plane
2. If you dont own FSX Follow yet, go to App Store and obtain FSXFollow
3. Download and Install SimConnect.msi (2.5 MB). Use www.FsxFollow.com on your PC to get to this page.
4. Download and extract FSXFollow.zip (1.5 MB) and put the contents in any directory, for example c:\FSXFollow.
5. Start X-Plane
6. Goto Menu Settings, choose Data Input & Output. Make sure you checked the options as in the image below
7. Goto Menu Settings, choose Net Connection. Set the port to 49002 and use localhost if you run x-plan on your machine
8. Positiong your airplane
9. start FSXFollow.exe and from the menu choose Log on.
(if the program doesnt start, it misses runtime libraries, you can find them here: RuntimeLibsVC05.msi and RuntimeLibsVC90.msi )
10. Start the FSXFollow application on your device. Your session is listed with the flight name.
11. Select the flight from the list and go to the map screen.
12. The location of your plane will be visible
